Police ICT Summit – January 2017
iNovar were delighted to be asked to showcase their 2Go Enterprise Applications Mobility Layer technology at the very successful Police ICT Summit held at Jurys Inn, Hinckley Island in Leicester in January. This two-day summit was hosted jointly by the NPTC (National Police Technology Council) and the Police ICT Company. It was attended by over 300 attendees from across the policing family including government and the HMIC. Katy Bourne, PCC for Sussex, said that it was “extremely encouraging to meet delegates representing a wide section of the policing and security sectors and to hear their positive contributions”.
The event brought together senior stakeholders from Policing, the Home Office and other policing bodies, as well as key partners from industry – present and future.
Following on from the Metropolitan Police adoption of the first iteration of 2Go which enabled them to deploy Flash based dashboards on iPads, iNovar demonstrated their recently upgraded 2Go technology at the Summit. 2Go now includes the ability to mobilise a wide variety of enterprise applications – including a number in use within Police forces around the UK.
Response to the innovative “3 minute pitch” by iNovar was positive and virtually immediate with a number of approaches by both Police Forces (Cumbria, Devon & Cornwall, South Wales) as well as suppliers (Cognizant, Computacenter, Createintel, Niche, SSCL). We’re now moving to provide a series of Proof Of Value evaluation setups to enable users to experience directly how quickly and effortlessly they can get access to their key enterprise systems on tablets.
